Every Act Of Goodness Is Sadaqah

Every Act Of Goodness Is Sadaqah

Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) Said:
"Every Act Of Goodness
Is Sadaqah"
Abu Burda reported on the authority of his grandfather that the Prophet of Allah (PBUH) said: Dar of Sadaqa is essential for every Muslim. He was told: What do you say about him? He said: Let him work with both hands, thus making himself benefit and giving to Sadaqa. He was told: And the one who does not have (the means) to do it? He said, "Then let him help the needy, the wronged." He said, "What do you say about someone who can not even do this?" He said, "Then he should recommend what is good or good." If he can not do that? He (the Prophet) said: He should then abstain from evil, to verify that it is Sadaqa in his name.

Kindness is an essential part of human nature. A man feels inner satisfaction through committing virtuous acts, such as lending a little money to the poor and helping a crippled person along the way, etc. Such acts of kindness and compassion are the reasons why mankind still exists on the surface of the earth; Otherwise, he would never survive if all were cruel and spiteful. The religion of Islam emphasizes the importance of doing good to others. Allah SWT says in the Holy Quran:

"... And whosoever doeth good, then Allah is a
Cherisher and Knower" (Quran 2: 158).

Every action of righteousness in Islam is considered the Sadaqah, which is derived from the Arabic root word, Sadq (truth). Its literal meaning is to spend of its possessions and abilities in the way of the Lord Almighty. Sadaqah is the necessary constituent of the faith of a believer through whom he seeks the pleasure of the Creator of the world of the worlds helping the poor and others in a state of need.
